Overview Join to apply for the Junior Hydrogeologist role at WSP in Canada . We are looking for a Junior Hydrogeologist with a specialization in groundwater modelling to join our Ontario Hydrogeology Team, located in one of our GTA (Toronto/Mississauga/Kitchener/Barrie) or Ottawa, ON offices. You will provide numerical modelling support for various hydrogeological, environmental, and engineering investigations related to multi-disciplinary development projects. What you can expect to do here Work with interdisciplinary project teams on highly complex projects and develop your skills with some of the best in the industry. Support the development and implementation of numerical groundwater flow models for a wide range of projects, including: Large scale open pit and underground mining operations Regional and local hydrogeological assessments Municipal source water protection studies Dewatering assessments for infrastructure projects Compile field and other data for interpretation and analysis. Collaborate with intermediate and senior hydrogeologists to provide technical services for mining and infrastructure projects. Provide technical support and complete hydrogeological analysis, visualizations, and contribute to the development of conceptual site models. Work independently and in a group setting under the direction of senior specialists in related disciplines. Prepare technical documents and reports; assist with development and preparation of project proposals. What youll bring to WSP A Masters degree (or equivalent) in Hydrogeology, Environmental/Earth Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or similar; a specialization in groundwater modelling through coursework or project/thesis is preferred. Eligibility to register as Geoscientist-In-Training (GIT), Engineer-In-Training (EIT), Certified Technician (C.Tech.), or Certified Engineering Technician (CET) in Ontario. Experience with hydrogeological analysis (e.g., AQTESOLV or similar). Experience developing and applying numerical modelling tools for groundwater (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW, HydroGeoSphere). Experience using Python and SQL for data analysis. Valid Ontario Class G Drivers Licence, clean drivers abstract, and access to a vehicle. Strong computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent time management, organization, communication, problem solving, writing, and people skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a collaborative team player with staff, subcontractors, and clients. Strong ability to learn new systems and skills independently.
