To meet our growth challenges, WSP is seeking a Market Leader, Energy (Canada East) to join our teams located in any of our WSP Offices in Ontario or Quebec. The Market Leader, Energy (East) is responsible for overseeing and leading the technical Energy practice in Eastern Canada, including leading projects, managing certain accounts and engagements, ensuring compliance with national and local regulations, and maintaining high standards of service reliability and customer satisfaction. What you can expect to do here You will be the Technical Market Leader for Energy, reporting to Vice-President-Energy You will lead and grow the Energy practice in Eastern Canada You will act as a thought leader and be externally recognized as a top resource in the field You will make decisions on highly complex issues regarding work approach for project components and team tasks You will anticipate business needs, secure resources, and lead initiatives to implement change You will make recommendations on highly technical and complex aspects of WSP projects You will lead certain client accounts and engagements within the Energy Group You will support the growth of technical disciplines required for Energy You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and provide governance on major Energy projects You will provide governance on Energy jobs including quality and leadership on Energy proposals You will collaborate with other internal departments and stakeholders to improve quality and project delivery, including management of subconsultants You will mentor and coach Energy staff as required What youll bring to WSP More than 10 years of leadership experience in the Energy sector Hands-on experience with Project Delivery Engineering degree in a related discipline or technical diploma Proven experience in business development with an existing network in the Energy market Strong financial and business acumen; P&L experience is an asset Strong understanding of the energy sector, industry trends, and decarbonization technologies Ability to negotiate and build client relationships P.Eng. or P.Tech. designation is an asset Bilingual in French and English is required About Us WSP is one of the worlds leading professional services firms.
