We currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager to join our Ottawa, ON Office. Responsibilities The mission of an Electrical Project Manager is to manage the budget, schedule and work closely with the foremen, subcontractors and vendors to deliver a successful project. Work with Project Delivery teams to complete projects within the planning process. Focus on reaching the overall financial goals of projects in collaboration with the Operations Team. Manage budgets, labour, purchasing, administration, cost control, supplier and subcontractor coordination, communication, scheduling, pricing of change orders, and financial management of projects. Establish and manage client relationships; promote Modern Niagara services to clients for the building life annual cycle. Responsibilities (continued) Participate in Estimating turnover meetings and Preconstruction meetings as required. Manage labour on assigned projects with support from the Electrical Operations Manager. Complete monthly financial forecasting reports for all assigned projects and attend Project Status Review (PSR) meetings. Review contracts for scope, productivity, quality, and costs to meet company objectives. Participate in client and construction meetings and disseminate information to the workforce and subcontractors. Manage all change order pricing in Accubid database. Communicate effectively to develop productive relationships with employees, subcontractors and partners at all levels. Pursue professional and technical development through workshops, seminars, publications, and networking. Qualifications and Job Requirements Post-secondary education in construction management or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of project management experience within the construction industry. Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance. Experience in the construction industry, particularly field work. Ability to interpret site and building plans and specifications. Experience with project or construction management software (e.g., Procore). Effective communication and ability to sustain productive relationships with all levels. Ability to work autonomously with frequent travel to site locations. Competency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness to train and mentor team members.
