Overview Join to apply for the Project Engineering Manager (Bilingual) - Mining, Metals & Minerals role at Worley . Bilingual and fluent in native Spanish and English is preferred. Responsibilities Develop, execute, supervise, and coordinate all technical aspects of the work safely with a primary focus on the integrity/quality of the engineering design while achieving schedule and budget objectives. Act as a key technical interface with our customers. Report to the Director of Engineering and be based out of the Worley office in Oakville, Ontario, 4 days a week. Engineering Execution Plan and coordinate multi-discipline engineering design assignments within and across disciplines, including multidisciplinary technical issues that impact project progress. Plan and manage engineering and design systems implementation, technical specifications, standard drawings and data management systems. Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant codes and standards, Worley Management and Knowledge System documentation, and client requirements as defined in the Basis of Design (BoD) and Project Execution Plan (PEP). Document and manage BoD and technical scope changes. Prepare Engineering (SEAL) Plan and change management plan, including application of Safe and Sustainable Engineering. Adhere to the SEAL Plan by the Technical Team and coordinate client alignment with SEAL. Promote the use of new digital tools/technologies within projects and ensure engineering systems comply with global directives and project complexity. Ensure design can be safely constructed, operated, maintained, decommissioned, and demolished. Highlight and address holds and areas of uncertainty; promote data-centric project delivery and collaboration with stakeholders. Health, Safety & Environment Ensure projects are set up and executed in full compliance with Worley HSE Management system. Demonstrate visible commitment to Life safety and environmental stewardship. Change Management Identify scope changes and adhere to change management processes. Peer Reviews Plan Technical Peer Reviews on the Project/Portfolio in line with Technical Stewardship Standard and guidance from the Director of Engineering. Conduct Technical Peer Reviews as per Worley Technical Stewardship Standard; identify and implement additional reviews as necessary. Quality Lead Discipline Engineers to meet quality objectives. Ensure adherence to Management and Knowledge System guidelines and proper design checks by competent personnel. Address Quality Audit findings related to Engineering and close Findings and Action Requests. Planning/Resourcing Coordinate technical input to schedule development and approve technical components. Review discipline time estimates and consolidate into overall engineering estimates or change requests. Support GID/workshare planning and implement with discipline leads; assist project management in controlling engineering performance against budget and schedule. Coordinate with Discipline Managers to secure necessary resources. Document and Data Management Define internal project data management requirements and ensure technical data is managed per internal and client requirements. Utilize Worley-approved document management systems and processes. Workshare/GID Define Workshare/GID technical scope and oversee shared work quality; manage interface with the Workshare/GID office. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property Maintain integrity and confidentiality of all intellectual property; protect Worley and third-party information as required. HSE Capability Demonstrate awareness of health, safety and environment issues and take action to ensure zero harm and minimal environmental incidents. What You Will Bring Technical and Industry Experience Significant mining or related industry experience at an intermediate/senior level. Strong understanding of multi-discipline engineering delivery. Experience in mining essentials, preferably underground mining. Knowledge of Engineering processes within Management and Knowledge System. Leadership and people-management skills, ability to direct and influence a team, communicate effectively, delegate, mentor, and provide performance feedback. Planning, analysis, coordination skills; ability to analyze systems and lead improvements; prioritize work and manage changes. Well-rounded understanding of all engineering disciplines; familiarity with Worley systems and processes; focus on execution, quality, safety. Proficient in Microsoft Office; SharePoint and Teams; Navisworks or similar 3D modeling tools. Ability to ensure technical team competency and address training needs. Education Qualifications Recognized Engineering degree (or equivalent). Current P.Eng. registration with PEO, or eligible for registration with PEO in another Canadian province or territory.
