We are seeking a Senior S&MA Engineer Security in our Robotics and Space Operations Team at our Brampton Office. You will work on programs such as Canada Arm 3 and MDA Skymaker products, developing new capabilities, enhancing existing ones, and delivering solutions to our customers. The Position As a Senior S&MA Engineer - Security, you will develop divisional policies, procedures, and verification plans for the cybersecurity aspects of MDAs Robotics and Space Operations products. You will lead your team, collaborate with customers and technical teams, and support the development of secure, reliable, and cost-effective systems. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of security expertise, product assurance engineering experience, and familiarity with government and defense contracts. Responsibilities Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and verification plans aligned with product needs. Support security requirements, designs, and solutions based on customer and industry standards. Lead security acceptance and accreditation processes. Create security-related artifacts such as engineering plans, budgets, and reports. Review subcontractor design material for compliance. Support verification plans for security aspects. Ensure Secure Software Development Lifecycle practices are followed. Participate in Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT). Coordinate security efforts across MDA programs and teams. Mentor security personnel. Mandatory Experience and Skills 10+ years of assurance or security engineering experience. Experience in Cloud Computing, Network Defense, Identity & Privileged Access Management, Vulnerability Management, Threat Risk Assessment. Threat and Risk Assessment experience using HTRA methodology. Experience with system delivery and accreditation against NIST SP800-53. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Experience and Skills Understanding of government project delivery processes. Experience with NIST SP-800 standards, ISO/IEC, DISA STIGs, CIS, SANS. Experience with security technologies like SIEM, IDS, IPS, EDR, Privileged Management. Knowledge of security testing methodologies, threat modeling, and application security standards (OWASP, DREAD, PASTA). Certifications such as CCSP, CISM, OSCP are advantageous. Education A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Equivalent work experience with certifications will also be considered. Additional Considerations Successful candidates must obtain and maintain security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
