About The Role We are currently looking for a friendly, outgoing, and customerservicedriven individual to join our team as a Full Time Assistant Manager at our Ace Liquor Discounter Oxford store in Edmonton. Primary Purpose of Job Provide leadership and direction of a multimilliondollar business unit in partnership with the Store Manager, with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience. Train and develop team members while establishing a strong sales culture with accountability for operational excellence and achievement of financial and regulatory standards. Essential Business Functions, Responsibilities and Accountabilities People Management Create a work culture that makes the store an inviting place to work; coach, mentor, and inspire team members; delegate tasks and set priorities in partnership with the Store Manager; communicate clearly with the team; participate in huddles/meetings/coaching sessions; assist with store recruitment and succession planning; coach performance gaps; ensure training is completed on time; develop efficient weekly store scheduling. Customer Offering Deliver exemplary customer service; resolve customer complaints and keep the Store Manager informed; oversee new product launches with the Store Manager; review customer surveys and market feedback; utilize local market trends; evaluate programs and promotions and provide recommendations. Financial Plan with the Store Manager to meet goals through labour, inventory, and financial management; meet/exceed financial targets; monitor Loss Prevention; review invoices and costs for accuracy; adjust scheduling to manage labor costs. DaytoDay Operations Ensure merchandising and pricing guidelines are followed; maintain a clean and presentable store; execute merchandising programs and track results; manage communications; maintain inventory levels and handling; respond to customer inquiries and complaints; participate in OHS and LP trainings; develop industry knowledge; build relationships with store stakeholders; set daily tasks and review promotions for execution. Regulatory Adherence Ensure compliance with OHS, LP, ProServe/Serving It Right and other regulatory requirements; participate in health inspections and audits; maintain required trainings; ensure adherence to AGLC/BC LRS and government guidelines and reinforce company policies on social responsibility.
