Work Location Edmonton Office About The Role Based out of our Edmonton locations in Alberta, we are looking for Experienced Store Managers who can handle curveballs like a champ. The Store Manager will bring their experience in the Cannabis and Retail Industry (or similar fields), including previous management experience. They will oversee and maximize the store's budgets and sales goals, and establish a strong sales culture with accountability for operating standards and financial performance. Responsibilities include recruitment, hiring, training of teams, ensuring the store is clean, maintained, stocked, and ready for business, and analyzing store sales and performance weekly to improve metrics. They must maintain high product and service knowledge, professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times. Role And Responsibilities People Management : Recruit, hire, onboard, and train enthusiastic team members; coach and mentor employees; foster a team-oriented culture; establish sales and customer service standards; conduct performance reviews. Customer Offering : Greet and engage customers; build relationships; educate on products, strains, and safe usage; promote a positive atmosphere. Day-to-Day Operations : Maximize sales through analysis; promote brand; stay informed on industry trends; ensure store cleanliness and stock levels; manage inventory; handle transactions; ensure compliance with guidelines; manage communication. Regulatory Adherence : Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations; support social responsibility initiatives; maintain necessary certifications; adhere to policies and safety guidelines. Experience And Qualifications : 3-5 years customer service and retail/hospitality experience; cannabis, liquor, or healthcare experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent; mandatory provincial certifications; pass criminal record check; knowledge of cannabis regulations and handling procedures.
