Position: Quality Engineering Specialist (NOC 22302) Responsibilities Analyze data and provide solutions/recommendations for product and process improvements. Recognize and understand customer specific requirements for internal and external customers. Plan, create and manage overall Quality Planning strategy. Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement. Document, monitor, and resolve non-conformances, and perform root cause analysis of quality problems. Review and approve PPAP submissions, and maintain documentation in an organized manner. Assist suppliers in developing and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement activities. Manage, coordinate and schedule internal audits (ISO9001) and assist with customer audits. Perform internal audits to ensure compliance. Assist Management Rep with 3rd party audits with the Registrar. Maintain and control ISO 9001 documentation, including developing and updating procedures, policies and templates to ensure document control and compliance. Assist production with training as required. Work with the Continuous Improvement team and other key stakeholders on Continuous Improvement activities. Identify key KPIs for product and process quality. Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management. Other duties as assigned. Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in the work area. Qualifications A Diploma in any Engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of Diploma level education and relevant experience. At least 2-3 years experience in quality assurance function, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Experience in quality assurance and quality systems (ISO9001). Experience with policy and process development, control documentation required. Experience with internal and external audits. Strong computer skills and Microsoft Suite proficiency. Planning and organization skills. Time management and ability to prioritize effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated follow-up. Job Details This position is full-time on site located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. Hours are typically 8:00am to 4:30pm. Pay: Annual salary will range from $75,000 to $86,000, depending on qualifications and experience, based on a 40-hour work week. Employment type: Full-time, Salary position.
