Supports the timely delivery of support engineering work packages within cost and quality requirements for assigned project(s). We are a defender of multi-mission excellence in naval and maritime domains, delivering advanced specialist systems for surface vessels, sub-surface operations and unmanned platforms to Defence customers. We collaborate with customers to ensure mission success and provide solutions across sonar, radar, expendables, signature management, and naval power systems. Responsibilities Develops solutions and solves intermediate to semi-complex problems to deliver engineering projects on-time, on-quality, and on-budget. Writes reports and presents work carried out at peer and design reviews. May provide training and support to new team members. Works collaboratively with designers to improve the reliability, maintainability, and usability aspects of Ultra's designs. Completes life cycle cost analyses, level of repair analyses, failure modes and effects analyses. Elicits and derives support requirements and proposes verification methods for requirements. Performs reliability modelling and undertakes maintainability analyses to optimize support arrangements. Assesses the human element of systems as a contributor to system failures. Prepares or provides input to technical manuals, such as troubleshooting guides or operations and maintenance manuals. Qualifications and Experience Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 7 years experience delivering Supportability activities and direction on projects. Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Integrated Logistics Support - LCC, LORA, sparing, obsolescence Operational Analysis and Whole Life Cost Modelling - Business Case Analysis, Availability Trade-Off Analysis Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and System Safety - Reliability Prediction, RBDs, FTA's, FMEA's, MTA's, Common Cause Analysis, Zonal Analysis, FRACAS/DRACAS Asset Management Training Development, Design and Delivery Capable of acquiring a NATO security clearance and a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment. Experience using OmegaPS or OmegaPS Analyzer is considered an asset. Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 3+ years of related experience or a recognized apprenticeship.
