This opportunity is open exclusively to Nation members and is designed as a career development role with structured mentorship and training. The Conference Services Manager Trainee will work under the direct guidance of the Director of Sales and Conference Services, as well as the Sales and Conference Services team. This role is key to building the future of our Grey Eagle Resort & Casinos success, as it provides Nation members with the skills and experience needed to eventually step into a leadership role within Sales and Conference Services. The Trainee will support the team with event sales, hotel room sales, and event logistics, while gaining hands-on experience in contract negotiation, sales processes, and hotel operations. Over the course of the program, the successful candidate will develop the skills needed to connect with clients and deliver memorable experiences that reflect the values of Grey Eagle Resort & Casino. **Education and Experience:** (Assets, Not Requirements) - Previous customer service, events, or sales experience is an asset but not required. - Knowledge of food and beverage, hospitality, or event planning is helpful. - An interest in developing long-term career growth in Sales and Conference Services. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** Key Learning & Development Areas Through training and mentorship, the Trainee will gain experience in: - Responding to sales inquiries in a timely and professional manner. - Delivering excellent customer service throughout the client journey. - Supporting event sales, hotel room sales, and event logistics under the supervision of the Sales and Conference Services team. - Communicating effectively with both clients and the Operations team. - Supporting site tours, inspections, and event planning functions. - Assisting in the creation and management of group room blocks, banquet event orders (BEOs), and client communications. - Understanding hotel food & beverage services, pricing, and event requirements. - Learning digital sales systems, sales processes, and strategies. - Participating in internal meetings, reporting, and presentations. - Recognizing opportunities to maximize client experience and hotel revenue. Skills and attributes that will help you succeed in this role: - Strong interest in hospitality, customer service, or sales. - Willingness to learn and be coached in a professional environment. - Good communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - A positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to handle challenges. - Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office is an asset.
