The Work You Will Do As a Nurse Team Lead you will be very hands-on in the community, providing direct client care, guiding a happy, healthy, well-balanced team of care providers, and building your client base all while making a difference in the communities we serve. Assessment Delivery Visit your clients and caregivers on a regular basis. This role is an active community position that requires regular home visits within the community. This role involves a high level of hands-on care, training, and coaching including weekly onsite visits with clients and caregivers in the community. This role also includes community outreach where you will build partnerships and promote this innovative approach to home care. Leadership Supervise, support, and mentor caregivers Audit and regulatory compliance for provincial and in-house best practices Visit clients and staff, providing hands-on care as well as training and mentorship Combine an entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on leadership in the community through organized outreach Human Resources Coordinate human resources concerning recruitment and selection, orientation and training, discipline, and the probationary/annual performance review of reporting neighborhood health team members Supervise and support licensed and unlicensed employees to ensure compliance with all federal and provincial legislated standards of practice as well as company policies and procedures Responsible for the safety of your team and notify your immediate supervisor of any health and safety risks or concerns Training & Development Coordinate and provide training and mentorship for caregivers Engage in ongoing education and continuous learning for yourself Community Care Provide hands-on clinical/nursing care, sometimes as the on-call nurse Build client relationships Support/train and mentor caregivers in the field while working with clients This position may have an occasional after-hours component Experience with community outreach and relationship development, networking Who You Are You have a desire to help improve the lives of those in your community. You have a reliable vehicle and are willing to travel to visit clients within the community on a daily basis You are a graduate of an accredited provincial nursing program with current registration in good standing and valid CPR certification You have solid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery to clients as well as program development, implementation and evaluation You have at least five (5) years of recent experience with progressive responsibilities, preferably in a community setting Experience in business development is an asset You have exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective, consistent format; ability to work independently and effectively lead a team; above-average report writing and communication skills with both field and administrative employees You are dedicated to providing high-quality service As Canadas largest and best homecare company, join us as we continue our 50+ year tradition of supporting our nurses to make being the difference a career!
