Job Description

Position Summary The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must also ensure the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations. What You'll Do Lead the Pharmacy and OTC teams, including recruitment and interviewing of candidates; train associates on OBWs/SOPs and Walmart workflow; ensure execution. Develop, assess, motivate, and retain team members. Promote Walmart's brand to team members and customers. Develop collaborative relationships with the Professional Services District Manager, Store Management, and Store Manager. Operate Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets; manage scheduling, ongoing assessment, and performance reviews. Develop and execute business action plans to meet corporate goals; create corrective action plans based on deficiencies identified in reports or audits. Maintain accurate inventories in the Pharmacy following OBWs/SOPs; address customer complaints to ensure excellent customer experience. Ensure the Pharmacy area is well-maintained, professional, and compliant with 6S standards; cascade communication from the SSC to all Pharmacy associates and OTC. Execute programs assigned by the Professional Services team. Develop collaborations with health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, etc.). Ensure Pharmacy is open during posted business hours and supervise the OTC manager. Adhere to professional standards, protect patient privacy, and follow provincial regulations; counsel patients on pharmaceutical products; ensure proper storage of products. Open and operate the Pharmacy during posted business hours and ensure patients receive eligible services (e.g., medication reviews, injections).
