About The Role Were looking for an Auto Appraisal Unit Claims Manager to join our growing team in Calgary. You will have an opportunity to manage the day-to-day operations of our Field Appraisal team. What You'll Do Here Directs and coordinates the activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives of the repairs performed by the vendors, in accordance with Intact policies and in compliance with Intact standards and procedures. Act as a resource person by providing support to internal and external estimators and various Intact resources to answer their questions. Provide technical oversight and guidance with a focus on indemnity and expense control, in addition to optimal customer experience. Provide training and technical support to employees by keeping up to date on software and techniques used. Perform quality control of estimates produced by all in-house appraisers and body shops by ensuring compliance with policies and the application of standards and procedures, including those concerning customer service. Increase the efficiency of the sector by participating in the development of analyses and recommendations. Manage the activities of their team by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to the budget, while promoting teamwork. Support the teams of our trusted networks for complaints related to estimates. Participate in various existing committees in the field of estimation and be aware of industry techniques.
