OverviewProject Engineering Summer Student at Paramount Resources Ltd. (Calgary, AB). This in-person position supports the Facilities/Project Engineering team for a 4-month term beginning in May 2026, with occasional field visits within Alberta.About Paramount ResourcesParamount is a Canadian-based company focused on exploration and production. We are an inclusive employer dedicated to building a diverse workforce.What youll be doingYou will be exposed to typical engineering responsibilities in a Facilities/Project Engineering role, including project scope development, design reviews, cost estimating, project schedule management, field construction, and commissioning and start-up.You will be supervised and mentored by a Senior Engineer within the group for your work term.You will learn about project management principles for facilities and pipeline design and construction.You will assist Project Engineers with various project-related activities such as following up with action items, coordinating activities between different teams, helping with cost tracking and reporting, and completing documentation for project close outs.Who you areYou are currently enrolled in a Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Energy, Oil and Gas, Electrical, Civil or similar engineering program accredited for professional designation in Canada.You have a desire for career development that includes oil and gas experience; previous experience in oil and gas, especially field experience, is an asset.You can work effectively in a team environment.You value feedback as a learning tool.You are motivated, hard-working and determined to achieve superior results.You are focused with keen attention to detail.You have a strong safety mindset and strong sense of accountability.You have strong computer skills including data analysis and MS Office, and demonstrated effective decision-making and communication/presentation skills.EligibilityYou are enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with an accredited Engineering Program (e.g., University of Calgary, University of Alberta, Queens University, or similar).You are available to work the full duration of the term.You are currently residing in Calgary or willing to relocate for the term.You are legally entitled to work in Canada (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).What we can offer youThis position provides on-the-job experience, coaching and training in a collaborative learning environment within a nimble, Canada-based energy company.Application ProcessYour application must include a resume, cover letter, and recent transcripts in one PDF document.
