Position Summary: As the Produce Assistant Department Manager, you will support the Produce Department Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the department is well-stocked, clean, fresh, and merchandised to standards. You will also supervise and coach team members to deliver excellent customer service and uphold food safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the ordering, receiving, and stocking of fresh produce. Ensure displays are attractive, clean, and rotated regularly to maintain freshness. Support inventory control by minimizing shrink and monitoring quality and expiration dates. Lead and motivate the produce team to meet department goals and provide top-tier customer service. Assist in scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring routines are followed. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations. Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and promptly. Monitor pricing, signage, and promotional activities. Step in for the Produce Department Manager as needed.
