We are looking for passionate, hard-working individuals to join our growing team at HQ.Summary/ObjectiveAs the General Manager of our Mount Vernon HQ, youll oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail coffee shop, manage our team of baristas, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. This position is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring both leadership and operational capability. Youll handle scheduling, inventory management, vendor relations, backend POS updates, and assist in hosting local events. This is a part-time, hourly position reporting directly to ownership.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Lead a team of baristas, ensuring consistent performance and positive team moraleCreate and maintain shift schedules and provide coverage as neededBuild and manage vendor relationships for retail and caf suppliesEnsure high product availability through effective inventory systemsMaintain and update POS menus and pricingUphold 22 Sierras high standards of customer service and store cleanlinessProvide ongoing training and development to baristasAssist in creating and hosting HQ-based community eventsMonitor and report on sales, labor, and cost of goodsRegular attendance is critical to the operation of our businessJob DutiesGreet and engage with customers to create a welcoming, community-focused environmentServe as a working manager: making drinks, assisting with food, and supporting staffDrive sales through customer engagement, team motivation, and upsellingAssist baristas with customer issues or shift concernsStep in to cover barista shifts when neededMonitor daily financials and product wasteTake direction from and report directly to the ownerAbility to lead by example and foster a positive team cultureAbility to learn and enforce processes and regulationsStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDependability, integrity, and professionalismBasic math skills and understanding of financial trackingStrong customer service orientation and sales instinctsKnowledge of specialty coffee preferredRequirements18 years of age or olderAt least two years of food service, coffee, or retail management experienceBarista experience strongly preferredFood safety manager certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)Veteran or family of veteran preferredSupervisory ResponsibilityYes directly oversees baristas and shift operationsFast-paced and high-pressure at times.
