If you're looking to spend less time commuting and more time by the ocean, our Urologist opportunity might be ideal for you.The successful candidate will join other Urologists and family physicians caring for the diverse population of Prince Rupert, delivering regional services across Northwest British Columbia.The Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 25-bed facility offering diagnostic radiology, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedic surgery, and internal medicine. Specialist office space is located within the hospital.The hospital has 3 operating rooms, with anesthesia provided by competent GP-Anesthetists. There is ample OR time, including cystoscopy procedures. A new laparoscopic surgical tower has recently been installed, and upgrades to OR1 are planned to expand Urology services.Northwestern BC offers outdoor activities such as downhill and cross-country skiing, hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking, mushroom picking, camping, and mountain biking. It will feature 72 beds, a level 3 trauma unit, and comprehensive diagnostic, medical imaging, and ICU services.This position complies with the Provincial Health Officer's mandatory COVID-19 vaccination orders.Benefits include 6-8 weeks of vacation annually, CME allowances, and potential additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), such as a retention premium of 24.50%, a flat fee of $37,968, and relocation funding of $9,000-$15,000. A recruitment incentive of $20,000 is also available.Rural Continuing Medical Education (RCME) funding is provided: up to $1,800 for 2 years, $4,800 in years 3-4, and $7,800 thereafter.
