We are currently looking for a Senior Land Development Designer / Project Engineer to join their team. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Western Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future. This is a full time position reporting to the Manager, Land Development.What a day at EXP has in store for youProvide road and utility design solutions and input on the design process for key complex projects, including providing support to Project Managers and other design team membersCoordinate design and field staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating, and reviewing work done by staffWrite and possibly sign reports or drawings as requiredSupervise/mentor and provide Quality Control for designs, specifications, and contract documentsMonitor project schedule and budgets and report status to the Project Manager on a regular basisLiaise with clients, municipal approving authorities and contractors, as neededPursue obtaining all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities and provincial agenciesParticipate in business development efforts including writing and pricing proposal efforts, securing new projects/clients, as neededEnsure health and safety policies are adhered to and report to Manager and Joint Health and Safety Committee MembersWhat your experience looks like5 to 10 years of experience in the Land Development industryHave a strong working knowledge and extensive experience using AutoCAD Civil 3DRegistered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Technologist, or eligible for registrationExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsExposure to Project Management is an assetFully conversant with Microsoft software applicationsStrong attention to detail with a keen ability to identify and resolve potential issues efficientlyOrganized, works well under pressure and able to deal with situations with tactA valid driver's license and vehicle is requiredDemonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teamsSkilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously while thriving in deadline-driven environmentsDedicated to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining positive stakeholder relationshipsEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
