GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the direction of the Manager Health & Safety, this entry-level position is responsible for providing field support with a primary focus on administrating the health and safety management system. The position operates in a high paced environment, building relationships with multiple stakeholders including Superintendents, Project Managers and sub contractors. The role is primarily field based supporting projects in Calgary and the immediate surrounding area.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct regular site safety inspections and hazard assessmentsRecommend and assist with implementation of corrective actions and controlsAssist with site risk mitigation checklist planning, including crane lifts, confined space, ground disturbance and fall protection systemsAssist with site emergency response planningDevelop safe work practices and safety job proceduresProvide general site safety guidance and supportLead site toolbox safety meetingsConduct onsite quality review of Supervision safety documentationProvide coaching on safety legislation and Delnor safety program to SupervisionConduct internal training, where qualifiedAttend project and client meetings, when requiredAble to work in a high-paced environmentLiaison between the field and project managersAdditional tasks, as assignedJOB SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Education:NCSO required (preferred)OHS Occupational Health & Safety related education an assetValid First Aid required (preferred)Experience: 1 5 years experience within the commercial construction field in a safety advisory or coordinator role. 12 years of experience in a safety advisory or coordinator role within the commercial construction industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Travel: Travel and own vehicle required.Fraud Warning: Any genuine offer from Delnor will always be preceded by a formal application and face-to-face interviews.
