Location: Sioux Lookout Salary: $90,000 to $100,000. Start rate commensurate with education and experience. Salary progression based on merit. Job Summary The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations, ensuring that all aircraft maintenance activities meet regulatory and company standards. All maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with policies, procedures and instructions contained in the MCM, MPM and Transport Canada requirements. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and is scheduled from Monday to Friday. Skills And Qualifications Valid Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (M1 or M2) Previous experience with Aircraft Maintenance Systems (AMS) is an asset Previous experience with Navajo Chieftain, Metro and Westwind 1124A aircraft is an asset Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills Minimum of 8 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role Proven leadership, supervision, coaching, and team-building skills Key Responsibilities Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements Lead and mentor a team of base engineers, aircraft maintenance engineers, and technicians Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold maintenance standards Ensure all maintenance activities are performed per AMM, regulatory standards, and company policies Monitor and manage the performance of maintenance activities to meet operational goals Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices A strong commitment to safety and compliance Collaborate with Maintenance teams at other locations to ensure consistency across bases Maintain a record of maintenance personnel for training, ratings, and qualifications Foster a healthy working environment and positive workplace climate Ability to work under pressure with excellent organizational skills Strong leadership and communication skills Motivated and self-directed with a desire to contribute to SkyCares success How to Apply Apply online at Closing Date: Open until filled.
