We invest in our people because they are the reason for our success.Position SummaryThis position will research best practice processes, ensuring continuous alignment of Bethany policy and compliance with national, provincial standards, policy and guidelines. The Quality Practice Leader monitors and evaluates opportunities to improve care quality and enhance safety across sites and establishes relationships and communities of practice that support Bethanys Mission and Values.Key ResponsibilitiesService Excellence: Accountable for data quality assurance, quality improvement and evaluationLead the development, monitoring, and continuous quality improvement of Bethanys IP&C program.Ensure Bethanys policies and processes align with current evidence-informed best practices, including national/provincial standards and regional policy.Support care sites and organizational leaders with regular monitoring and reporting of IP&C risks and program performance.Provide consultative expertise in infection prevention and control to all members of the care team, including residents, families, employees, and volunteers.Guide best practice processes in identifying and prioritizing IP&C equipment and supplies.Support the identification, development, and delivery of IP&C educational resources.Establish effective collaborative relationships with regional, provincial, and national IP&C stakeholders.Participate as a member of Bethanys Infection Control Committee and other relevant committees.Collaborate with site quality teams and organizational leaders to integrate IP&C priorities into Bethanys continuous quality improvement culture.QualificationsEducation & Professional DesignationBachelors Degree in NursingCurrent Registered Nurse in good standing with CARNA.ExperienceMinimum of three to five years of recent professional experience preferably in the continuing care sectorDemonstrated experience in infection prevention and control, including surveillance, education, and consultation.Strong knowledge of infectious disease processes, applicable regulatory bodies, and legislative requirements.Additional skillsCurrent, valid Alberta Drivers License with no restrictions (travel to sites required).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrates complex project management abilities including change management and system level evaluationDemonstrates leadership ability and highly developed interpersonal communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skillsDemonstrates excellent organizational skills and has the ability to perform accurate, detailed workAbility to utilize analytical and conceptual thinking in the identification and resolution of issuesDemonstrates commitment to resident focused services and teamworkDemonstrates knowledge of business concepts (organization structure and design, business processes, communication planning)Bethany Care Society is an equal opportunity employer.Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Criminal Background Check and provide proof of all mandatory immunizations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
