Position Summary As part of the Technical Solutions Team, this role is responsible for being the technical voice and partner with account managers to deliver the best solutions to meet client needs and requirements. Responsibilities include understanding customer technical requirements, conducting remote product demonstrations, and planning implementation proposals for Process & Steam Specialties products and services. Responsibilities Collaborate with Account Managers and support staff to provide comprehensive presales technical support for all Process & Steam Specialties products and service solutions. Create and deliver engaging product demonstrations via web meetings. Conduct telesales and provide aftersales support. Respond to customer inquiries. Chase vendors/suppliers for product pricing and delivery. Ensure all customer technical and commercial needs are satisfied on time based on agreed KPIs. Follow up and coordinate projects using industrial websites and other contractor platforms. Manage remote contractors and satisfy their technical/commercial needs. Liaise with customers, inhouse staff, and partners. Interpret product and service inquiries and provide technical solutions as required. Attend industry trade shows when required. Record customer information and document processes in the CRM system. Develop territory business through networking, telesales, research, and maintaining a growing contact list to keep Process & Steam Specialties at the forefront of local opportunities. Market and promote products to customers, leveraging knowledge of steam system and industrial processes to improve performance and profitability. Log quotations, provide direction for product strategy and margins, and complete product selection and sizing. Maximize quote value using AutoCAD drawings and SolidWorks. Demonstrate mechanical and electrical industrial knowledge. Manage or participate in large projects as required. Maintain communication with all relevant stakeholders to ensure complete, timely, and accurate service delivery. Liaise with vendors and key stakeholders regarding technical questions and pricing. Show a track record of exceeding targets by selling solutions that build strong customer relationships and loyalty. Complete all documentation accurately and log all information in the CRM database. Identify key accounts within the sales territory and allocate sufficient time and resources to develop and maximize sales. Technical Design Support Assist in the sales process by liaising with the sales team on opportunities related to engineering packages and solution selling. Create a library of SolidWorks drawings for the PSS product line and packaging system. Design and draw system packages. Create 3D models and 2D production drawings; update bills of material and specifications for existing products and special customer orders. Update engineering specifications as needed. Qualifications Technical sales, account management, and technical support skills. Sales and customer service skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand technical product specifications. Proven track record in sales and account management. Experience in the pump industry is a plus. Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Required Experience Minimum five to ten years of field experience in mechanical industrial process steam systems, or outside sales experience selling a technical or industrial product/valves/ancillary line; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. BA in mechanical engineering or electromechanical engineering is preferred. Professional Engineer designation is preferred. Skills / Competences Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Sound understanding of engineering processes and terminology. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Excellent customer relations ability. High quality of work. Record and document process in CRM system.
