ROLE PURPOSE The Program Coordinator Restorative Justice is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Restorative Justice Program, including the coordination of all referrals from receipt to completion, implementation of program policies and procedures, promotion of program awareness, development of community partnerships, evaluation of program practices, and strengthening relationships with funders and stakeholders. HOURS (35 hours per week) Monday to Friday 0830 - 1600 WHAT WE OFFER Committed Living Wage Employer 2022 & 2023 Canadian Nonprofit Employer of Choice Award from NEOC 2023 High-Performance Culture Award from SupportingLines Competitive benefits package, including health, wellness, and pension plan Career and personal development opportunities Access to staff mental health supports, including an in-house counsellor, Employee Family Assistance Program, and Critical Incidents Stress Management Access to On-Demand Pay to withdraw earned wages before payday Portability program for employees transitioning from CSSEA-member employers REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to the Program Manager or their designate Supervises Restorative Justice Program Case Workers, volunteers, and practicum students Facilitates delivery of restorative programs and community connections Collaborates with staff and external agencies to support agency initiatives KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Develops and maintains community partnerships Plans, develops, and evaluates program activities and policies Oversees daily program operations ensuring standards are met Participates in recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of staff and volunteers Coordinates intake interviews, restorative circles, educational sessions, and diversions Leads staff discussions and ensures quality restorative processes Maintains case documentation and reports progress Addresses complex problems balancing program goals and stakeholder needs Promotes program awareness through community engagement and presentations Records and reports data as per funder requirements Supports volunteer recruitment, screening, and training Stays informed on best practices and organizational policies Models professional behavior and organizational values Creates and delivers community presentations Supports practicum students and performs other duties as needed WORKING CONDITIONS Works independently within a team Adheres to organizational policies May require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Member of CUPE local 1936-11 EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related field At least 3 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles Experience working with diverse populations facing barriers Knowledge of restorative justice, trauma-informed practices, and crisis intervention Effective team collaboration skills Experience with grant writing and community engagement Familiarity with government and social services Public speaking skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems REQUIREMENTS Criminal Record Check for Vulnerable Persons Current First Aid Certificate Valid Class 5 drivers license Reliable personal transportation, insured up to $1,000,000, for client transport COMPENSATION The starting wage is $33.77/hour, increasing to a maximum of $38.77/hour after 4,000 hours worked.
