Application deadline: 11:59 PM, September 4, 2025. Salary: The salary scale for NSCC Faculty is based on steps that range from $78,771.88 - $104,267.58. New NSCC Faculty may receive up to a maximum of five steps for relevant occupational experience, plus up to four additional steps for full-time equivalent years of instructional experience. The maximum a new NSCC Faculty can expect to receive is nine steps or $97,388.02. What youll do Provide theoretical and practical instruction in Customized Refrigeration and Air Conditioning programming for Military. Collaboratively design and deliver educational experiences for a diverse group of learners, including preparation, instruction, assessment, and evaluation using a broad range of teaching practices and technologies such as Learning Management Systems (e.g. Brightspace) and classroom technology. Engage in related duties including academic and career advisement, committee participation, program marketing, curriculum revision/development, work placements support, liaising with business and industry, and representing the College as required while upholding NSCC policies and procedures. Ensure health and safety practices are followed in classrooms, shops and labs. Maintain currency with industry practices and 21st century teaching methods. Delivery may include in-class, online, blended formats, off-site instruction, and alternate hours such as weekends and evenings. Qualifications The minimum educational qualification is Red Seal Journeyperson certification in the Refrigeration Mechanical Technician field or Inter-provincial Journeyperson status in the ACR industry. A Refrigeration Plant Operator certification is an asset. Minimum five years of recent and related post-journeyperson experience in air conditioning and refrigeration systems and their control systems. Supervisory experience is an asset. Note: Two years of training count toward educational requirements and cannot be included as part of occupational experience. Technical knowledge and skill in teaching RACM Apprentices. Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, E-mail, Brightspace, and the internet; comfortable working in a digital environment and using technology to support student experiences. Experience liaising with business and industry; ideally, experience delivering educational programs or training to adults. Knowledge and experience applying WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety, and occupation-specific safety practices.
