Overview Engineering and Scientific Support Positions Various EG Positions Reference number : SVC24J-013458-000264 Selection process number : 2024-SVC-WST-EA-630494 Public Services and Procurement Canada Locations: Calgary (Alberta), Edmonton (Alberta), Winnipeg (Manitoba), Yellowknife (Northwest Territories), Regina (Saskatchewan) EG-04, EG-05, EG-06 Tenures available: Acting, Assignment, Deployment, Indeterminate, Secondment, Specified Period Positions and streams Stream 1: Architectural & Engineering Services (AES) Heritage Conservation Technologist Advisor. Requires knowledge of Conservation of Historic Places in Canada and experience with historic construction methods. We are looking for EG 05 or EG 06. Stream 2: Building Operating & Energy Services (BOES) Building Operations unit focuses on compliance inspections and auditing of building systems to ensure safety. We are looking for EG 04, EG 05 or EG 06. Stream 3: Geomatics Services Provides expert advice on spatial/geospatial data. We are looking for EG 04, EG 05 or EG 06. Stream 4: Project Management EG06 Project Officer to manage/assist in project development and delivery. We are looking for EG 06. Intent of the process This process will create a pool of partially qualified candidates, of EG levels 04 thru 06 inclusive. Candidates may be referred from this inventory for various positions based on the needs of PSPC Western Region across the streams listed above, on an as-needed basis. Positions to be filled: number to be determined. The inventory will be updated every 180 days with notices 30 days before the end of the active period. Information you must provide Your rsum. Education (All levels) Graduation with a diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the design and construction of Real Property projects. Architectural technology Building technology (Energy, Environmental, Construction, etc.) Engineering technology (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.) Geomatics technology, GIS Experience (All Levels) Experience in providing and/or coordinating technical services in executing Real Property projects. Depth and breadth of experience across a range of situations over an extended period. 3 years in the past 5 years for EG 04; 5 years in the past 8 years for EG 05; 7 years in the past 10 years for EG 06. Experience reviewing plans or specifications for Real Property projects. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and preparing proposals, work plans, cost estimates, or progress reports. Other qualifications Additional Asset Qualifications These may be provided when invited to the next stage. Examples include: Stream 1: Heritage conservation data, CADD drawings/reports coordination. Stream 2: Planning and execution of facilities management projects or maintenance programs. Stream 3: CADD/BIM standards, GIS software for geospatial data. Stream 4: Managing Real Property projects and procurement processes (DBB, DB, CM). Operational Requirements (All levels) Willingness to work in a hybrid environment. Willingness and ability to travel; occasional travel to work sites by taxi, shuttle, or car. Knowledge, Competencies, and Abilities English essential.
