Travel to Office Expectations For Remote Roles : If this role is remote, there will be in-office events that require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These will include onboarding, team events, semi-annual and annual team meetings. For Hybrid Roles : If this role is Hybrid, there is an expectation to reside within commutable distance to the specified office/location. This includes regular in-office events with your team. Meet the Finance Team Position Summary Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Receivable, the Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for contacting overdue accounts within an assigned portfolio of strategic customers to collect outstanding balances in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have experience building relationships with internal partners and account reconciliations, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a broad group of stakeholders. To be successful, the candidate must be able to build relationships and be a proactive team player. A hands-on, results-driven attitude is a must. The candidate should have strong attention to detail and a track record of excelling in fast-paced, high-volume, complex environments. Prior experience in finance is required, with a preference for accounts receivable experience. Key Responsibilities Collection activities relating to a mixed portfolio of customer accounts, including communication with clients regarding collections issues, actions, payment inquiries and invoicing. Update and maintain accurate customer files with all applicable correspondence and report status to Management as required. Communicate with clients regarding collections issues, actions, payment inquiries, invoicing and account reconciliation. Identify billing issues through research and regular reconciliation. Prepare monthly account breakdowns and analysis as required by the Manager and customers. Provide invoice copies, credits and unapplied payment details as required. Prepare and reconcile accounts, unapplied credit balances, and credit notes as assigned. Coordinate monthly pre-authorized payments with customers and the Payments team for the assigned portfolio. Participate in conference calls with customers and internal partners supporting recovery of past-due invoices. Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management to support the AR team objectives. Required Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting; 3+ years' experience processing accounts receivable. AI fluency and/or experience using M365 Copilot. High level of integrity for handling confidential information and monetary transactions. Strong diplomatic, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for late payment discussions. Attention to detail and accuracy in reconciliations. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Team player with ability to work in a cross-functional environment. Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing and execution skills. Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Working understanding of the US Health Care system is a plus. Compensation $52,000 - $56,000 per year. At PointClickCare, base salary is part of our total rewards package. The Canada base salary range for this position is $52,000 - $56,000. Salary ranges are determined by job and level, with individual compensation based on skills, experience, and location.
