Location: 111- 3011 Louie Drive, West Kelowna The Employment Resource Advisor / Junior Employment Consultant provides all clients with a consistent, professional, and welcoming environment to support them in achieving sustainable employment. This role provides clients with the information, tools, and resources to enable them to undertake job search, career planning, self-assessment, labour market research, or other employability-related activities as independently as possible. It also provides basic job search instruction and technical support, as appropriate. The role liaises with all staff to ensure that services offered are current and appropriate to the community and client needs. What you'll do Assist with initial eligibility determination, identity verification, and client sign-in Phone clients to remind them of appointments Conduct a Client Needs Assessment with eligible clients as the first step in their individualized action plan Collaborate with clients to develop, update, and revise action plans in line with policy Manage assigned client case files in the primary information system (ICM), including documentation of eligibility and recording progress Support and monitor client progress, verify engagement, ensure documentation, and oversee activities Coordinate with other organizations to align services and financial supports Refer clients to community resources and follow up on referrals Provide individualized job search support, including interviews, employer contacts, job matching, and negotiations Maintain a welcoming, safe, and professional environment, ensuring client privacy Stay updated on employment programs and funding sources Participate in community and employer events as appropriate Research and identify employment opportunities on behalf of clients Qualifications Experience in customer service and coaching clients, especially with individuals facing complex barriers and inclusion groups Proven success in helping clients overcome barriers to meet goals Knowledge of local labour market, community resources, government programs, and job search techniques Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct; must submit to a criminal record check Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., career development, social work, psychology) or equivalent experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work Monday to Friday at the Centre and in different locations within the catchment area For complete job requirements, see the full Job Description here.
