Overview Horizon Recruitment Inc is supporting a growing and innovative organization in its search for an experienced Assistant Controller to join their finance team. Base pay range CA$115,000.00/yr - CA$130,000.00/yr Responsibilities Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A, and executive-level reporting packages Lead financial reporting for foreign operations and global consolidations Support the month-end close process and financial analysis Assist with technical accounting research and documentation, including IFRS updates and complex issues Coordinate external audits and prepare supporting working papers, including those for international subsidiaries Participate in M&A activities, including due diligence and business combination accounting Oversee equity-based compensation reporting and regulatory filings Maintain and test internal controls, policies, and procedures Help automate and improve accounting processes and reporting systems Cross-train across finance functions and support special projects as needed Requirements 510 years of accounting and financial reporting experience Public practice background considered an asset but not required Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and multi-entity consolidations Experience with equity-based compensation, M&A accounting, and internal controls Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Experience with multi-currency environments is an asset Rewards $115,000 - $130,000 Base + Bonus Additional information Only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered.
