Join Hazelview Properties as a Senior Building Manager . You will take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of one to two residential buildings (up to 300 units in total). Youll serve as the main point of contact for residents, lead a small on-site team, coordinate maintenance and building services, and ensure the property is running smoothly. You know what it takes to manage a building end-to-end from operations and compliance to resident care and team support. Youre confident in leading, navigating tenant relations, and responding quickly to issues all while keeping your properties clean, safe, and fully operational. You lead by example, communicate clearly, and bring a sense of ownership and accountability to everything you do. You're not just solving problems you're anticipating and preventing them. Whether dealing with a resident concern or coordinating a contractor, you approach every task with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail. What You Bring To The Table Minimum of 2 years experience as a Building Manager and/or in Property management Strong knowledge of residential property operations, maintenance coordination, and building systems Proven leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate on-site teams Solid understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and other relevant housing legislation Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with Yardi or other property management systems is an asset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and problem-solving Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail Flexibility to manage after-hours emergencies as needed High school diploma (GED) required; post-secondary education or equivalent experience is a strong asset Multilingualism is considered a strong asset Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in your everyday work WHAT WILL YOU DO? Resident Experience Be the main point of contact for residents, delivering responsive and professional support Manage move-in/move-out processes and conduct suite inspections Address service requests and concerns promptly Operations Oversee day-to-day building operations for your assigned properties Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs or improvements Support leasing and community engagement efforts as needed Staff Management Supervise on-site staff including Assistant Building Managers, Cleaners, and Maintenance personnel Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure service standards are met Train new team members and support team development Financials Maintain accurate rent rolls and prepare renewal leases Track expenses, purchase orders, and invoices Assist in preparing budgets and planning for maintenance or renovations What We Offer At Hazelview, we dont just offer jobs we build careers and community.
