Project: Alamos Shaft Sinking & Headwork - Dubreuilville, ON Rotation: 14 days on, 14 days off Shift Length: 12 hours Travel: Kilometers paid Accommodation: Camp setting Benefits: Redpath offers comprehensive benefits including but not limited to health, dental and vision care, life insurance, pension and employee assistance program Pre-employment requirement: Drug test and criminal background check Work is scheduled to start mid-October 2025 Scope: Part 1 Setup Alimak, ground floor setup Breakthrough on the top side of the raise Strip out Alimak Part 2 Setup top down Alimak Slash raise on the way down to 5.5m diameter bin Install cable bolts while advancing Part 3 Strip Alimak setup Job Summary: The primary role of the Alimak (Mechanized) Raise Miner is to construct and maintain underground raise installations, performing various tasks such as constructing mechanized raise set ups, scaling loose rock, drilling, All work is to be completed following best practices set out in the Redpath Mechanized Raising Guidelines Manual. Responsibilities Construct and maintain underground installations as face advances Perform tasks such as constructing MRC installations, scaling loose rock, drilling, installing MRC rails, installing services as required Read and interpret mine plans Install ground support Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. Qualifications Work Experience: 2 years or more experience with conventional mining methods and hand held drills 6 months as a Mechanized Raise Miner Specific requirements (preferred) Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core Full Basic (or other provincial equivalent) Required Specialty Modules: U0064 (or other provincial equivalent) Knowledge Required Ability to multi task and work effectively Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently Ability to work with a partner and be a team player Recommended to complete the MRC training program Respectful of cultural differences About Us Redpath provides full service mining solutions and innovation around the world since 1962.
