Responsibilities Lead the planning and delivery of consumer insolvency services Lead data analysis and review financial records Administer formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies and proposals Develop relationships with current and potential referral sources including credit counsellors, debt counsellors, lawyers, accountants, etc. Prepare and review all relevant BIA documentation including Statements of Affairs, 170 Reports, Court Orders and Affidavits, Certificates of Discharge, Trustees Reports to Court, Pre and Post Bankruptcy Tax Returns, Final Statements of Receipts and Disbursements, etc. Assist with managing practice planning, scheduling, and financials (budgets, WIP, billing, variance recognition) Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to debtors; ensure debtor needs are met Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to address issues or risks relevant to the debtor Network in the local business community and lead presentations to referral sources Mentor and coach team members for professional and personal development Contribute to strategic and operational planning to improve work processes Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary Skills and Experience Bachelors degree or diploma in a related field (asset) Completion of the BIA Insolvency Counselor course Licensed Insolvency Trustee 7+ years of insolvency experience Extensive knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act Strong business and practice development skills People management, relationship building, and leadership skills Strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills Rewards at MNP We offer customized rewards supporting health and wealth, including paid time off, social events, pension plans, savings products, bonuses, wellness subsidies, health and dental benefits, mental health resources, perks, professional development, and flexible dress code.
