About the Role The role of the Lead Motion Designer is an incredible opportunity to work with Directives award-winning Creative team. You will be responsible for producing content for various client projects and will work in our Design department. Our ideal candidate is skilled at creating motion graphics content in After Effects, building assets within brand guidelines, and producing animations that connect with target audiences and objectives. This person should be able to engage with clients with strategic ideas and consultative feedback. Roles & Responsibilities Assist in designing and creating storyboards, mood boards, and design frames Research and analyze best design techniques to create motion graphics Create engaging animations that connect with the target audience and achieve objectives Manage the entire lifecycle of short-form video creation for internal and external projects Produce content and assets for use across a wide variety of media (social media, mobile, web, emerging media) Take initiative on projects to over-deliver new and innovative solutions Adhere to brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand the brand, audience, and message to create a strategic, high-performing video product Create original designs that communicate intended messages in a visually creative, unified way Coordinate all production requirements, potentially including VO and music, and provide final approvals What You Offer A robust portfolio of completed motion graphic projects is required Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite and industry-leading motion graphics software (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Cinema 4D, Blender, Animate, etc) Interest in new technologies and platforms to create motion content, including emerging generative AI platforms Strong visual and conceptual problem-solving skills Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills Strong analytical skills and ability to integrate designs into multi-channel strategies Ability to own a project and collaborate as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Design, or related discipline is highly preferred (not a deal-breaker) Bonus Points: Strong character animation skills; Proficiency in Java for After Effects; 3D motion graphics abilities What Success Looks Like Regularly meet or exceed client KPIs, high NPS scores, and positive rapport with clients Ability to present strategy and create moments of delight when work resonates Projects delivered on time and within scope Goals Average Watch Length of Video Content: 25%+ Click-through rate: 10%+ NSM Attainment: 67% CSAT: 4+ What We Offer We provide a set living wage at Directive.
