Role focus: Lead, design, and maintain SCADA and automation systems while mentoring others and contributing to our knowledge base and digital transformation initiatives. Responsibilities Lead execution on high-quality, efficient programming projects, collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional solutions to our customers. Architect and design innovative automation and SCADA systems for proposals and quotes. Maintain and enhance customer SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth and expertise. Contribute to JPI's knowledge base by writing procedures, test documents, and informative articles for our internal wiki. Continuously advance through paid and free training opportunities provided by JPI Solutions. Help JPI advance into Digital Transformation, Industry4.0, and IIoT in energy, mining, petrochemical, and manufacturing. Qualifications 10+ years of industry experience. Degree in Electrical, Automation, Process, or Computer Science Engineering; or Instrumentation Technologist Diploma; or Electrical Technologist Diploma; or Journeyman Instrumentation Mechanic or Journeyman Electrician certification. 1-2+ years leading a high performing automation team. Must have designed and architected 2 to 3 large SCADA projects. Familiarity with platforms like Ignition, Geo SCADA, VT SCADA, Aveva System Platform, and various communication protocols (MQTT, Modbus, etc.). Standard First Aid Level C and H2S Alive certificates. Valid Driver's License. Interview Competencies Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally. Ability to elaborate on involvement in large SCADA projects and your achievements. Leadership skills and the ability or desire to mentor/train junior staff.
