Overview Organizational Description: The Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge (C3) is a national online competition aimed to encourage students in grades six through twelve to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems involving science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Volunteer Opportunity Details Volunteer Opportunity ID: 6047 Responsibilities The Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge is a national competition geared towards high school and junior high students that focuses on the creative application of science, technology, engineering, arts and math in real-life scenarios. Join our team of volunteers from all across Canada! The Executive of Outreach leads a committee of Outreach Directors who are responsible for compiling a list of contact information for junior high and high schools in their region, and for recruiting and training outreach directors to advertise our event to schools and youth groups across the country. Qualifications / Skills Required The ideal candidate is organized, a good leader, positive, and works well in a team. (C3 and some of our volunteers have been featured on CTV, CBC, and Global News) Other skills the volunteer will gain include team management, data entry and logging, marketing, public speaking, and community interaction.
