Responsibilities Accountability for site HSE, Quality, Productivity, and Operational Manufacturing Excellence objectives Ensure all aspects/standards of the Responsible Care Safety Program are met Lead, develop and be accountable for site day-to-day (i.e., operational) maintenance functions Responsible for maintaining all site equipment, support systems and facilities Ensure adequate spares, MRO improvements and critical spare stocking in coordination with the Maintenance Reliability function Lead development and deployment of programs and methodologies to improve HSE, equipment reliability and reduce overall costs Ensure the site meets its critical objectives by leading assigned elements of the HSE, Quality and Operation Improvement plans Champion advancement initiatives in the areas of HSE, Zero Defect, and Manufacturing Excellence through the implementation and utilization of a continuous improvement culture You will bring Bachelor of Engineering required Strong leadership competencies with an ability to implement sustainable maintenance and reliability systems Must be able to interact positively and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Must have a high degree of initiative, influence, and problem-solving capability Requires regular, dependable attendance Experience in a chemical plant environment is preferred Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred 10 or more years of related maintenance, technical / engineering and leadership experience Unionized workforce management experience Core competencies Performance & Results Talent Enhancement Engage & Inspire Collaboration Working conditions Plant and office environment Required to be in production areas as needed Frequent interruptions and urgent deadlines Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package 16 weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations Training platform for all employees Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological) Additional information Reports to the site Director and is a member of the site PLT About Us Syensqo is a science company developing groundbreaking solutions that enhance the way we live, work, travel and play.
