This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Foreman looking to join a progressive company on a new build high-rise tower in downtown Calgary. Our client is a well-established mechanical contractor, known for completing large-scale HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic systems installations for new builds and major renovations. With a focus on teamwork, safety, and excellence in execution, theyve built lasting relationships with developers, general contractors, and trades. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of mechanical crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules. Plan and organize manpower, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines and budget targets. Review and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate installation. Lead site safety meetings, enforce company and regulatory safety standards, and promote a strong safety culture on-site. Communicate daily with project managers, site superintendents, engineers, and other trades to coordinate project milestones and resolve issues proactively. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all installations meet company standards and client expectations. Maintain accurate records of labour, materials, equipment usage, and progress reports for management review. Assist in forecasting labour and material requirements and identifying potential risks or delays. Mentor and train apprentices and journeypersons, fostering a positive and productive team environment. Troubleshoot on-site challenges, identify practical solutions, and make informed decisions to keep projects on track. Ensure mechanical installations comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. Participate in project handover and commissioning processes, ensuring systems are fully tested and operational. Promote continuous improvement by contributing ideas to enhance project efficiency and quality.
