Overview Manager, Fraud Prevention & Investigations - Calgary, AB or Saskatoon, SK role at Nutrien Nutrien is a leading provider of crop inputs and services. Reporting to the Director, Fraud Prevention & Investigation, the Manager, Fraud Prevention & Investigations will lead complex investigations into allegations of fraudulent activity, theft or related policy violations for Nutrien globally. What You Will Do Lead complex investigations of alleged or suspected employee fraud or theft, including but not limited to: Detailed examination and analysis of financial data, accounting entries, sales and inventory records, and other relevant data. Conduct confidential interviews with employees and external individuals. Prepare interim summaries and analyses of findings for internal and external stakeholders. Draft detailed reports and correspondence regarding results and recommendations of the investigation. Present findings and recommendations to management and law enforcement, as required. Evaluate company processes to identify internal control weaknesses and potential fraud risk, and develop remediation recommendations. Contribute to the development and implementation of proactive data analytics, monitoring and other forensic tools to detect fraud patterns across Nutriens global enterprise. Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Fraud Prevention & Investigations function. Maintain in-depth knowledge of, and compliance with, relevant laws, regulations, industry standards; monitor industry trends and enforcement trends. Collaborate with local law enforcement, state attorneys, and other government officials as needed. Assist in executing organization-wide training related to fraud awareness and prevention, including investigation processes and procedures. Provide effective people leadership within the Fraud Prevention & Investigation team and the broader Integrity Group. Other responsibilities as required at Nutriens discretion. What You Will Bring Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Professional designation such as CPA, CFE, CIA, or CA; 8+ years of related experience in forensic fraud investigations, internal audit, public accounting, data analysis, or related fields. 8+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in fraud investigations, including 3+ years leading investigations. Experience leveraging data analytics to identify trends, risks and opportunities. Ability to lead people, provide clear directions, and adapt leadership style as needed. Effective interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization. Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills; effective writing skills for report writing and documentation. Time management skills to meet deadlines with flexibility for changing priorities. Experience with a large ERP system, preferably SAP. Strong integrity and discretion regarding sensitive information. Ability to work collaboratively in a team or self-guided environment. Willingness and ability to travel, including international travel up to 25%.
