Overview TEACHING VACANCY: POSTING NO. 61 SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 School: William Konkin Elementary School Burns Lake, BC Start Date: September 25, 2025, to June 30, 2026, or until the incumbent returns, whichever occurs first Salary: $60,648 - $114,735 + current provincial recruitment and retention allowance Assignment: 1.0 Limited Duration Position Position: PRIMARY TEACHER (GRADE 1/2) Specific assignment to be determined by the principal Qualifications Bachelor of Education (Elementary). A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with the Ministry of Education and Childcare. Ability to assist students as needed in a variety of curriculum areas at primary grade levels. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences. Demonstrated ability to use inclusive instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working from an inclusion perspective to address diverse learning needs. Understand and use a trauma-informed approach in professional practice. Experience and knowledge using competency-based assessment strategies. Experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student. Experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices to improve learning outcomes for students.
