Job Description Job Description Senior Accountant Our client, a leading custom steel fabricator in North Bay, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred) and bring 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing and / or construction environment with experience in job costing. As a key member of the management team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping operational decisions by providing valuable financial insights, guidance, and strategic input. Key Responsibilities : Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Manage month-end reconciliations and closing procedures to ensure accurate, timely reporting. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Lead job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition processes; monitor project profitability. Oversee IT administration for the companys systems. Coordinate with external accountants during the annual review engagement. Skills & Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or construction. Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles (job costing, WIP, revenue recognition). Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a team. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; IT background an asset. Experience with ERP software Bilingualism (English / French) is considered an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
