Position Purpose: Responsible for the overall management, direction and execution of Shred plant operations. Responsible for ensuring concrete plans exist to deliver financial commitments and foster a culture of operating discipline, safety, and continuous improvement. Key Job Activities: Plans and schedules production requirements to support daily, weekly and monthly sales forecast to meet customers needs. Oversees and trains an effective and efficient staff, makes recommendations for merit increases and performance appraisals, and monitors operations and staff to recommend changes in methods, procedures, and structure. Administers all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets as necessary, and ensures compliance. Monitors and ensures that employees are performing their functions safely and productively, and makes recommendations for changes or improvement to prevent accidents or injuries. Ensures the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner. Assists in maintaining overall cost control of the plant, ensures continuous improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance, and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction. Initiates actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices, and participates in Operations short and long range business planning. Leads Continuous Improvement initiatives such as 5S, setup reduction, and process improvements. Education: Preferred Education: Bachelor's or Equivalent. Bachelor Degree in business or operations management preferred, or seven years or more of related experience or training in a plant or manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact. Requires five or more years of experience managing others, knowledge of barcode scanning and computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations. Pursuant to the California Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in California for this position is $94,900 to $133,700. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
