About the Sprinkler Fitter Position: The basic function of the Fire Sprinkler Fitter is to coordinate with the Labour Supervisor and Project Manager, ensuring all resources necessary for the successful completion of an assigned project are available, and that the installation is of the highest quality, ensuring customer satisfaction. Our ideal candidate will be customer-focused, have an excellent safety record, and be able to lead a successful team diligently. Responsibilities: Coordinate with the Labour Supervisor/Project Manager on the most efficient and cost-effective means of production for assigned and special projects. Ensure quality and safety controls/practices that result in a safe work environment and projects of superior installation quality with zero accidents. Care for and properly maintain all company-issued vehicles, equipment, and tools, protecting against deterioration, damage, theft, and keeping the property clean. Ensure weekly timesheets are submitted to the Payroll Department on time. Attend pre-construction, coordination, and project progress meetings to understand project requirements and communicate effectively with the team. Coordinate with the Labour Supervisor and Project Manager to ensure material delivery timing aligns with project schedules. Participate in in-house meetings/training and contribute suggestions for improvement. Assist in training field personnel in proper installation procedures to maintain professionalism and safety. Provide technical support and consultation to apprentices, technicians, designers, and shop employees. Perform other duties as assigned by the Labour Supervisor and/or Project Manager. Submit written progress reports on all assigned projects as required. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience installing and servicing sprinkler/fire protection systems. Membership in good standing with UA Local 853. Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements: Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting and moving equipment/tools weighing up to 70 lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in confined spaces, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working at heights up to 60 feet. Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and specifications. Flexible working hours.
