Job Description

Overview Recruitment Advisor- Western Canada at Raise. Raise is currently hiring a Plant Operator on behalf of our client. Theyre expanding their team to meet growing needs. Our client is the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure. Position details: Pay Rate: $50-55/hour, depending on experience; Contract Length: 1 year; Location: FIFO position, with flights departing from Calgary and Edmonton to a camp in northern Alberta. Responsibilities Operate and monitor equipment: Oversee the operation of pumps, compressors, and other production equipment. Ensure all machinery is functioning correctly and efficiently. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures; conduct regular safety inspections and participate in safety meetings. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment; report issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team. Data Collection: Record and analyze production data; use information to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Environmental Stewardship: Ensure operations comply with environmental regulations; participate in initiatives to reduce environmental impact. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including equipment failures and environmental incidents; participate in emergency response drills. Team Collaboration: Work with field/plant operators, engineers, and management to ensure smooth operations; communicate effectively and provide support as needed. Qualifications 1-3 years operating experience; relevant industry experience is an asset. 3-5 years of experience preferred. 1-2 years of field/offsites experience. Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate; Third Class Power Engineering Certificate is preferred. Previous SAGD experience preferred.
