BDR - Business Development Representative As a Business Development Rep (BDR) at Journey Freight International, the focus is to initiate new business through cold calling and soliciting potential clients. Responsibilities: Lead Generation: Define a territory/shipper-consignee list provided by the lead generator. Cold Calling: Proactively reach out to potential clients (shippers and consignees) from the master list. Sales Pitches: Receive specialized training on various sales approaches tailored to different roles (e.g., shipper, consignee, traffic manager). Communication: Engage with prospects solely via phone and email to introduce JFI solutions. Conversion and Handover: This business development role concludes when a prospect is converted into a prospect/customer. Compensation is based on conversion, but representatives are freed from following up and redirecting rejected quotes. Handover: Once a customer quote is requested for a given lane, the account is handed over to an Account Executive for further management. Prospect Entry: Enter leads into the system.
