Position Purpose: Reporting to the Commissioner, Engineering and Public Works, the Manager, Transportation & Fleet is responsible for managing transportation services in the Operations Division encompassing transportation, roads, fleet and arboriculture. Key duties include developing, implementing, and managing operations/maintenance projects related to transportation, roads, fleet and arboriculture. Qualifications and Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or similar. Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation with OACETT or Licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng). Certified Roads Supervisor (CRS) designation with AORS. Five or more years of experience in developing, implementing, and managing municipal capital and maintenance programs relating to transportation. Working knowledge of the following provincial legislation and applicable regulations: Occupational Health and Safety Act; Highway Traffic Act; Employment Standards Act; Labour Relations Act. Computer proficiency utilizing word processing and spreadsheet software, internet, e-mail, and work order systems.
