Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and market-savvy Used Car Export Specialist to join our automotive group. This role supports our vehicle acquisition and cross-border sales strategy, focusing on identifying, purchasing, and exporting used vehicles from sources including wholesale auctions, dealerships, and fleet companies for resale across our U.S. and Canadian dealership network. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about vehicle market trends, auction dynamics, cross-border compliance, and regional demand fluctuations. They will help maintain a profitable used car inventory while ensuring all units meet regional age, mileage, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Acquisition: Source and acquire used vehicles from wholesale auctions (e.g., Manheim, ADESA), dealerships, rental/fleet providers, and direct sellers. Market Evaluation: Analyze market trends, valuations, and demand across U.S. states and Canadian provinces to maximize resale potential. Cross-Border Compliance: Ensure all acquisitions comply with import/export regulations, mileage caps, age restrictions, emissions standards, and title documentation. Profit Optimization: Select vehicles with clear paths to profit, considering reconditioning, transportation, duties/tariffs, and resale pricing. Relationship Management: Build relationships with auction representatives, fleet managers, and dealership contacts to access exclusive inventory and favorable terms. Economic Awareness: Monitor economic indicators that influence used car demand and pricing trends. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on inventory, margins, and market opportunities. Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in vehicle acquisition, remarketing, or auction buying (wholesale auto auction experience required) Deep knowledge of U.S. and Canadian vehicle regulations, including export/import restrictions Familiarity with auction platforms (e.g., Manheim, ADESA, TradeRev) and valuation tools (e.g., Black Book, VAuto, Carfax, AutoCheck) Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate multiple market variables Excellent negotiation and communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented with documentation and regulatory compliance Ability to travel within North America Valid drivers license and passport (or ability to obtain one) Preferred Attributes: Experience as a Used Car Sales Manager, Vehicle Acquisition Specialist, or Wholesale Buyer Experience with cross-border logistics or vehicle shipping coordination Strong network of industry contacts in the U.S. and Canada Why Join Us?
