What You Will Do Investigate, evaluate, negotiate personal lines Accident Benefit claims of moderate to high complexity Timely, accurate reserving in line with Corporate protocols and guidelines Maintain control over expenses through pro-active handling techniques Obtain approval from Manager on claims above authority Manage claims in litigation, participate in mediations, pre-trials and settlement conferences What You Have Minimum of 2-3 years Accident Benefits claims handling experience Through knowledge of the legislation that governs these benefits (SABS) Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Exceptional communication skills both written and oral Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills Post- secondary education in a related field, and/or working towards CIP designation would be preferred #LI-Hybrid #LI-SS1 Our Commitment We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
