This role serves as the primary liaison between Maintenance and Production for all maintenance scopesRoutine, Non-Routine, Pitstop, and Turnaround. The Operations Maintenance Lead (OML) acts as the Production Operations representative within the Maintenance organization. The OMLs primary focus is to ensure the efficient maintenance of operating equipment with minimal impact on the production plan. The OML is responsible for overseeing the screening, prioritization, and scheduling of maintenance work orders within their production units, ensuring alignment with the Maintenance Execution work process. Additionally, the OML is accountable for training and developing new operators, mentoring them throughout their progression phases toward becoming Senior Operators. Accountabilities: Execute the Maintenance Work Process in Production by: Ensuring notification quality and that all pertinent data is clearly and correctly identified by the notification originator Prioritizing risk ranking maintenance due dates based on equipment condition and operational impact Updating Basic Finish Dates in the maintenance backlog as necessary based on evolving risk Collaborating with Planners, Scheduler, Production Specialists, and Maintenance Team Leads to ensure realistic completion dates are met Sharing accountability for the annual maintenance budget and approving all planned work orders ahead of scheduling as oversight for maintenance costs Collaborating with Production Specialists to manage the maintenance budget against cumulative risk in the backlog, providing visibility and escalation as needed Facilitating permitting to ensure smooth communication of permit needs, operational readiness, and safety requirements Driving effective interface and execution of the Maintenance Work Process within the Production department, communicating priorities with teams Reporting on E & 1 Priority Work performance to meet KPIs Supervising and mentoring new operators, including Co-ops, ensuring quality training and progression towards Senior Operator status Assessing and signing off on phase progression for employees in assigned areas Ensuring Competency Development and Assurance (CD&A) requirements are properly mapped and assessed What you bring Legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis Valid 4th Class Stationary Engineers Ticket preferred Diploma in Chemical Production Engineering Technology preferred At least 5 years relevant experience in industrial, refinery, or oil and gas settings Experience in Hydrocracking distillation Leadership experience preferred If you dont see yourself fully reflected in every job requirement listed above, we still encourage you to apply.
