Overview Job Title: Marketing Manager Department: Brand & Strategy Reports to: VP, Strategy & Brand Classification: Salary Band 5 - $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 Job Type: Full-Time Permanent Hours: 40 Location: Windsor, Ontario (based in Windsor with occasional travel within Canada) Job Summary The Marketing Manager is a key member of the Brand & Strategy team, responsible for leading the execution of Build a Dreams national marketing and communications initiatives. This role combines creative direction, strategic planning, and people management to strengthen the organizations presence and impact across Canada. The Marketing Manager oversees a small team to plan, create, and deliver integrated campaigns that inspire participation, strengthen partnerships, and elevate Build a Dreams brand. With strong copywriting skills and an eye for storytelling, this position ensures consistent messaging and measurable outcomes across all marketing and communication channels. Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing & Campaigns: Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with organizational goals and funder deliverables. Manage the marketing calendar, ensuring timely delivery of campaigns across digital, print, and event channels. Oversee advertising, media partnerships, and creative assets to drive engagement and awareness. Content & Copywriting: Write, edit, and review compelling copy for campaigns, website, newsletters, reports, and social media. Guide the tone, storytelling, and messaging of the organization to ensure a cohesive brand voice. Collaborate with designers, videographers, and writers to produce impactful content. Supervise, mentor, and support marketing and communications staff, interns, and contractors. Oversee workload distribution, timelines, and priorities to ensure efficient delivery of projects. Collaborate with internal departments to align marketing initiatives with events, programs, and partnerships. Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze campaign metrics and digital performance. Use insights and analytics to refine strategies, strengthen storytelling, and contribute to organizational impact reporting, including data and narratives used in annual reports, pitch decks, and stakeholder communications. Prepare marketing performance reports for leadership and funders to demonstrate outcomes and engagement reach. Event & Partner Support: Support the development and promotion of Build a Dream events, including Career Discovery Expos, Brunch & Build, and Dreamer Day. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all event materials and media coverage. Coordinate with external partners and sponsors to deliver integrated promotional campaigns. Other Duties: Manage marketing budgets and vendor relationships. Ensure all materials meet accessibility, inclusivity, and brand standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Completion of a college diploma or university degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 47 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or related fields. Demonstrated experience managing staff, contractors, or creative teams. Proven experience in campaign planning, copywriting, and content development. Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Canva, and Mailchimp. Experience in the non-profit or social impact sector considered an asset. Skills: Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a strong eye for tone and storytelling; Excellent project management and organizational skills; Ability to analyze data and apply insights to campaign improvements and organizational reporting; Proficiency in basic graphic design (Canva or equivalent) and comfort with simple video creation, filming, and editing for digital campaigns; Demonstrated ability to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools and automation platforms, to enhance workflow efficiency and creative execution; Creative thinker with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and digital marketing platforms; Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced, mission-driven team. Working Conditions The Marketing Manager will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Occasional travel within Canada may be required for workshop facilitation and community engagement activities. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary to accommodate program schedules.
