Job Description

Overview Digital Forensics Lead, Cyber Command Centre, Brampton, ON join Loblaw Technologies as part of the incident response and investigations team. You will conduct detailed forensic investigations into cybersecurity incidents, data breaches, and other digital crimes, applying scientifically sound and legally defensible methods to collect, preserve, analyze, and present digital evidence. What Youll Do Conduct comprehensive digital forensic examinations of electronic devices, including computers, servers, mobile devices, and cloud environments. Identify, preserve, and collect digital evidence in a forensically sound manner, ensuring integrity and chain of custody for legal admissibility. Utilize industry-standard forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, Cellebrite) to recover, process, and analyze data, including deleted, encrypted, or damaged files. Analyze forensic artifacts (file systems, registry, memory, network logs) to reconstruct event timelines, identify attack vectors, and determine the extent of a compromise. Prepare detailed, clear written reports documenting the investigative process and findings for technical and non-technical stakeholders, including legal counsel and management. Provide expert witness testimony in legal proceedings when required, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to a lay audience. Collaborate with incident response, legal, and internal teams to support investigations and provide actionable intelligence. Stay current with the latest digital forensics techniques, tools, and cybercrime trends. What You Will Bring Hands-on experience in digital forensics with mobile device and cloud forensics, incident response, or related field. Expertise with leading forensic software suites (e.g., EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Cellebrite). Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to investigations. Education in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline, or relevant certifications such as GCFE, GCFA, CFCE, EnCE, ACE. Experience working with law enforcement or in a corporate legal/investigative environment.
