The Team Leader works closely with the supervisor to ensure that work meets health, safety, operational efficiency, and quality standards. The Team Leader plans the work of each team member, ensuring training and tools are provided for safe work. The Team Leader serves as a role model for all department employees. Responsibilities Prepare workstations by moving pallets using hand pallet trucks; ensure employees have what they need to work safely, efficiently, and effectively. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times; ensure products meet specifications. Ensure that employees follow work instructions provided by VKS and use the right tools for the job. Ensure proper training is provided; ensure employees respect the time allotted for tasks. Support production departments/teams to achieve quantitative and qualitative measures in the operational plan. Perform Gemba walks according to organizational criteria. Integrate new employees with proper mentorship; train employees on tasks they are familiar with. Conduct frequent quality inspections of operators. Lead daily meetings with team members to maintain transparent communication; disseminate information effectively. Distribute and ensure completion of work orders; perform production tasks when short-staffed. Maintain 5S in the department and ensure 5S tasks are completed daily. Knowledge And Skill Requirements 3 to 5 years' leadership experience in the manufacturing sector. Commitment to employee health and safety. Strong drive for achievement with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality. Excellent time management, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Trustworthy and responsible; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Must be able to lift 50 lbs approximately 50 times a day.
